I’m conscious of the fact that I’ve not posted for a long time – and people may start to think I’ve given up on blogging. This is not the case; it’s just that I’m still working on all the stuff I could write about.
My current project is experimenting with a different style of code testing. Again working with PHP-Parser, the idea is that rather than writing tests that either interface with a class from the outside or have to be hard-coded inside, tests can be written as hooks that inject complex and unrestricted test code at runtime. The hope for this is that a developer can have much more fine-grained, targeted control over the test.

Outside of that, the only thing I can definitively say is that I’ve started watching The X Files from the very beginning. As a kid, I only ever saw bits of episodes whenever I happened to catch it at bedtime, but I’ve always wanted to watch it properly. It’s weird looking at 1993 through adult eyes; everything looks so dated… from the clothing to the cars to the interior design, let alone the fact that people are sat at typewriters.
